OMAS is online

Giardino Italiano welcomes Omas, one of the most renown brands in fountain pens’ panorama. We’re pleased to announce that from today the best OMAS collections are available in our online catalog.

OMAS is an old prestigious company in the Italian production of fountain pens; founded in 1925 by Armando Simoni in Bologna, an inventor of technical innovation and revolutionary forms that have become milestones in the history of the fountain pen.  At his death in 1958 his children and grandchildren carried on the activity until the French group LVMH took over the company; later, in 2007, the Chinese group Xingu Hengdeli – leader in Asian market of luxury goods – acquired a majority stake.

Today, as then, the fundamental values of the company are working by hand – the same process since 1925 – the noble qualities of the materials used – cotton resin, celluloid, wood, titanium, gold and silver – the innovative mechanisms and beauty of form.

Due to numerous problems with OMAS fountain pens (leakage) I will not buy any product from this factory again. Worst of all they ruined 3 times my customized nib when I sent the pen in for repair of the ink leakage, despite I told them strictly NOT to touch my nib!! OMAS fountain pens are not fit for daily use!

    • I’m sorry tto read your troubles…
I haven’t yet direct experience with Omas repair, but it’s a firm of good reputation with a very seriuous commercial approach; I’m afraid that what happened to you was a very unusual combination of negative facts and bad luck. In any case, we’re always responsible for the products we sell, which are covered by international warranty.
