Etruria definitely is the Stipula’s most famous pen. Now offered as close-out sale.
Stipula has been producing it for approx 20 years, more or less unchanged in its look. Very often in celluloid, but it was made also in different materials, in resin, in plain colors, with cap in precious metals or different finishing.
Its main features are the rounded shape (which reminds the perfect sphericity of the Etruscan amphorae) and the central ring, decorated with the stylized three-lobed leaves (Stipula’s logo), cast by the cireperdue method and finely chased in Florence.
All the pens I’m proposing here are close-out, all in celluloid, all with sterling silver finishing (clip, rings, band).
They are three different models, though, featuring three different celluloids; in chronological order, Ambra, Alter Ego and Ambrosia.
The clearance sale will go on until stock availability. The prices you see on my website, clicking the following links, are truly discounted 32-56% off, depending on the models.
Etruria Ambra
It was one of the first celluloids used by Stipula for the Etruria. Deep brown background with irregular light brown parts, and reddish details. (Click the photo to enlarge)
The special blend of the brown shades gives the material an amazing feeling of deepness, almost three-dimensional, and the warm, well mixed, colors contribute to the preciousness and warmth feeling that only celluloid gives.
Very few pieces left: this celluloid has been used for many years and now the stock is going to be used up.
The fountain pen I’m offering as close-out is piston filled, and mounts the new Stipula’s T-Flex nib, in soft titanium with unique tip, which “allows now a line between 0.7 mm and 1.2 mm, approx”, just to quote Luca Viti’s words in an interview of few moths ago.

Etruria Alter Ego
Made in orange celluloid, with rust and light brown tones, with small pearly pieces, irregularly veined by black cracked lines. Alter Ego celluloid definitely stands out among normal marbled colors.
The piston filling system uses the innovative Stipula SCS (Self Cleaning System) piston, that guarantees a perfect cleaning of the reservoir every time that the mechanism is used, thanks to the spinning of the head of the piston together with the spinning of the knob.
The Alter Ego, however, is also available as cartridge/converter: same size and shape, only the internal mechanism changes.
There is also a capper roller (but it’s almost sold out).

Etruria Ambrosia
Ambrosia is the name of the Stipula’s new celluloid, used also for Limited Edition Model T. It’s translucent, slightly colored in pale honey nuance, with inclusion of opaque vibrant brown chips, here and there enlighten by pearly details.
The piston filling system is well visible through the celluloid transparency.
Also in this model, the piston filling system uses the innovative Stipula SCS (Self Cleaning System) piston, that guarantees a perfect cleaning of the reservoir every time that the mechanism is used, thanks to the spinning of the head of the piston together with the spinning of the knob.
Available also as cartridge/converter filling system model.
Etruria Ambrosia’s close-out sale is online in my website.

Etruria pens are quite on the large side, but they’re very comfortable in hand, and very pleasant to the touch.
Sizes:
Closed mm. 144 (5.67 inches)
Open mm. 162 (6.38 inches)
diameter mm. 10,7 (0.42 inches)
This clearance sale is really a great chance to grab a classic and timeless piece (but for a little while, because they are the last pieces left!)
